Neighborhood Facts: About The Location – NaiThon Beach
NaiThon beach is located on the west coast of Phuket, just north of the more busy Bang Tao. The beach is unknown to many and a true gem that surprise first time visitors with its untouched beauty.
The Andaman Sea outside is blue, clear and clean open water as far as all the way to India.
The bay is around one kilometer long and offers very fine, light and yellow sand.
Located at both ends of the bay are some coral reefs and rocks that you may snorkel around.
The main part of the beach offers perfect swimming all through out the high season since the wind tend to blow from the east for the main part of the year.
The water is clear, no rocks, gentle slope and sandy bottom.
Surrounding the beach is a national park. This means that all jet skis, speed boats and parasending is banned. The beach is lined by small restaurants and the area is a true paradise.
The Phuket International airport is only a 7 minutes drive away, located on the other side of a high mountain range. This feature is really popular with buyers from HK and Singapore who can fly in on Friday afternoons for a long week end.
The mountains protect the beach and you never hear any aircraft and hardly ever even see them.
Naithon Beach is, in short, maybe the best beache on Phuket!
